Today we are sharing over 80 new photos we recently took of the Scottsdale Road and Loop 101 Corridor. From DMB’s One Scottsdale 120-acre mixed-use development and Optima McDowell Mountain Village to Whole Foods, The Federal American Grill, and high-end car dealerships, this vibrant hub is poised to grow immensely over the coming years.

This edition of LUXE BLOG (including the photos) will not follow any certain order, nor will it cover EVERYTHING. It does, however, include all kinds of factoids. And it will give you a better idea of what living in this area will be like. Additionally, we left out the obvious spots like Grayhawk, Kierland Commons, and Scottsdale Quarter, simply to mainly focus on the main four corners of the corridor. We could have gone on and on about all the resorts and golf clubs in the area, believe us.

Scottsdale 101 Shopping Center

The Scottsdale 101 Retail Hub, located at the junction of the Loop 101 Freeway and Scottsdale Road, is a bustling hotspot for shoppers from all walks of life. DMB’s One Scottsdale

One Scottsdale is a 120-acre multi-use development by DMB, sitting on the NE side of Loop 101 and Scottsdale Road. Chauncey Social

A neighborhood hangout in North Scottsdale that offers chef-crafted American fare with a friendly hip vibe. Open for dinner daily at 3pm and weekend brunch at 11am. Late night transforms into a high-energy lounge with DJs and entertainers. Some of the menu items include:

Optima McDowell Mountain Village is a $1 billion development project consisting of approximately 970 apartments and 420 luxury condos. Located in North Scottsdale, this mixed-use residential community spans over a 22-acre area.

• Approx. 36,000 square feet of commercial space

The sustainable design of this project aligns with the International Green Construction Code. Moreover, it will file the largest private residential rainwater harvesting application in U.S. history, aiming to be net water neutral for its first ten years.

The Scottsdale Road & Loop 101 Corridor

This is the area of Scottsdale that seems to becoming the most urban. And that is a BIG thing to say considering Old Town Scottsdale is such an urban environment. For us at WLH, what sets the Scottsdale Road & Loop 101 Corridor apart is Optima McDowell Mountain Village. As pointed out in the above section, it really is going to take Scottsdale into a new direction when it comes to sustainability. With that said, there are literally hundreds of holes of world-class golf to play nearby. So fret not.

Other Big Factors

With recent events happening in regards to permits and groundwater use in Greater Phoenix, cities such as Scottsdale and Tempe have the infrastructure and mindset to see more vertical-type growth. What will be next? Who knows. What we DO know is this corridor is doing nothing but growing at this point. Add in the medical and research dynamic and you have a recipe for an affluent crowd to LOVE this destination. While we could go on more, the other HUGE factor is how centrally located this corridor truly is. Because of the 101, it’s easy to get nearly anywhere important in the valley within 30 minutes. You have Silverleaf nearby, Scottsdale Airport, Mayo, Cave Creek, Kierland, and so much more. Not to mention GOLF. Nearby are HUNDREDS of holes of golf to play.
